Caring for Your Wrap

Your vehicle wrap is a premium investment — and with the right care, it will stay vibrant, crisp, and professional-looking for years to come. Vinyl wraps are durable, but they do require routine maintenance to perform at their best. Whether you just picked up your vehicle or you've had a wrap for a while, following these guidelines will protect the integrity of the material, preserve the color, and extend the life of your wrap well beyond the average lifespan.

Hand Washing

Hand wash with a gentle automotive detergent

Use a soft sponge or microfiber cloth

Rinse thoroughly with clean water

Avoid pressure washers above 2000 PSI

Do not scrub perforated window film

Dry with a clean microfiber towel

UV & Sun Protection

Park in a garage or under a carport when possible

Seek shade to reduce UV exposure

Constant sun can cause browning on hoods and roofs

Morning/evening care is best — avoid washing when hot

If the vehicle is hot to the touch, wait for it to cool

Consider UV-protective spray wax for extra protection

What to Avoid

No fresh Armor All before drop-off

Avoid abrasive or petroleum-based cleaners

Do not use wax or polish containing petroleum distillates

Avoid scrubbing window film — it scratches easily

Do not let soap dry on the surface

Do not use automatic car washes with stiff brushes

Spot Cleaning

Use isopropyl alcohol for tough spots

Clean bird droppings and tree sap promptly

Use a soft cloth with warm soapy water

For bug splatter, soak with warm water first

Test any new cleaner on a small hidden area first

Rinse the cleaned area thoroughly after spot treatment

Living in a high-heat environment like Texas means UV protection is your wrap's best friend. Whenever possible, park in a garage, under a carport, or in the shade. If you notice the wrap on the roof or hood beginning to look dull or discolored, bring it back to the shop for removal before it "bakes" onto the paint — this is much easier and safer.
